We would like to introduce Miss Gemma Martin!
In her first season at AMA, Miss Gemma teaches ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and tumbling classes. Miss Gemma is from Shorewood, Illinois, and is a graduate of Columbia College-Chicago’s dance program.
Family: Miss Gemma is happy to be close to her parents, Mary and Deston, who live in Joliet, IL with her 16-year-old brother, Deston Jr., and Pearl the Dog!
Some Favorites! Miss Gemma loves anything purple and Tiffany Blue. Her favorite food is homemade mac & cheese, and she loves to blast her music in her car while she dances and sings her heart out to the radio!
Favorite Dance Memory: Miss Gemma’s favorite dance memory is having the opportunity to travel to Texas with her duet partner for a week long dance intensive. Miss Gemma and her partner won the opportunity through Adrenaline Dance Convention and Competition, where they were awarded a scholarship to this exclusive dance intensive. She loved meeting so many fabulous fellow dancers that she became great friends with and still keeps in touch with today, six years later!
Miss Gemma loves teaching dance because she loves creating an atmosphere where kids can have fun and learn at the same time. “I love the feeling of accomplishment when students learn something new and conquer a new step or move!”
Miss Gemma puts tons of fun and excitement into all of her classes! We love having her here as part of our AMA family!
