Des Plaines hosts one of the biggest parades in the Northwest suburbs each year on our Nation’s birthday! The parade draws a crowd of thousands… and hundreds of AMA family members!
AMA Dance & Music School has participated in the parade since 2006. Each year, more and more students march with our school. This was our best attended year yet! Participation is definitely a family affair!
We are getting more dads and brothers involved, too. We have dads and husbands driving our cars, and dads and brothers carrying the banner.
Mr. Lee gives the camera a wave before leading our school!
“I want to support my daughter. She loves AMA and I love seeing her so happy!” says dad, Don Chelberg.
“Our daughter has made some really great friends at AMA. It’s really wonderful to see!” says dad, Brian Feldser.
AMA Friends are the best!
Brian continued, “Both my son and daughter attend AMA, I carry the banner, and my wife, Leci, takes pictures for the school! Being part of the parade is a lot of fun and something our whole family can do together!”
Twin brother and sister dance students at AMA,
Xamian and Jasmine, march together in the parade.
Big sister and little sister march together in the parade!
And we can’t forget The Frank Family!
Miss Ann Marie takes a moment to pose with her 3 kids!
And no parade is complete without
the AMA Dance Force Performance Team dancing!
Adrianna is all smiles while performing!
And no parade is complete without Max walking on his hands!
Miss Ann Marie waves with AMA student Reese!
Photo Booth Rentals of Chicagoland
(owned and operated by the Frank Siblings)
also walked in the parade with their crew!
What happens when a Photo Booth Company
owned by kids who dance marches in a parade?
They join the dancers why of course!
A great time was truly had by all who attended!
Do you want to be part of fun family-oriented events like this? Look no further!
AMA Dance & Music School instructors focus on teaching in a positive, supportive environment – while helping students achieve their personal best. Outside the classroom, AMA students, staff, and families take this enthusiasm into the community by marching in parades, performing at festivals and sporting events, and producing spectacular shows.
