My 11-year-old daughter, Michelle, has been attending AMA Dance & Music School since she was 4 years old. We originally chose AMA because of the convenience of scheduling multiple activities all in one day. (We drive 13 miles each way to come to AMA!) Now we come 3 times a week and I feel very strongly that there is no better place to send her for dance, tumbling and in the past year… for piano lessons. Michelle has been playing piano since 2nd grade. Since moving her to AMA for piano last year, I can’t tell you what a huge change I have seen in both her playing and her desire to practice! She LOVES it!

I am amazed at how talented she has become and am humbled by the strong pre-teen she has become. AMA has not only taught Michelle how to dance and tumble, but they have given her confidence and strength. She is constantly tapping her feet, doing pirouettes on our hardwood floors and doing back handsprings on our lawn! (I am not kidding!)

Michelle does a backbend!

She does this because her teachers at AMA make learning fun and they encourage her in a loving way. The staff at AMA is WONDERFUL… Miss Ann Marie… Miss Denise… Miss Christina… Miss Katie… Miss Chesney… and Miss Jessica. They truly care about their students. They always have a kind word to say and are some of the most dedicated people I have ever met.

Along the way, Michelle and I have made great lifelong friendships with the other students and their Moms. Believe me when I tell you it is nothing like the TV show, “Dance Moms.” Although, I am one of those moms who hangs out at the studio. I enjoy coming each week to catch up with the other moms. We help each other because we want to… by carpooling, picking up dinner for each other’s kids and gluing headpieces together.

AMA has taught us both teamwork and dedication. Michelle lives to dance, is an amazing tumbler and now a dedicated musician! She loves every minute she is at the studio and can’t imagine her life without AMA.
