We are very excited to get our 9th Season underway at AMA!
Another year of music, dance and tumbling! Another year of friends! Another year of stellar staff! And another year of fun! What will make this year different? While the quality of instruction is always consistently strong at AMA, we are always striving to keep our ideas fresh and fun!
Tumbling
For our intermediate and advanced tumbling students, we have hired an acrobatic stunt specialist who will teach us skills and tricks that we are ready for. We have also ordered a tumble track so that our tumbling students can really push themselves to their full potential!
Music
For our music students, a new Glee program which will consist of 30 minutes of singing and 30 minutes of dance has been added to our curriculum. This exciting new class promises to be a ton of fun!
Dance
Our dance students ages 10 and up will have the opportunity to try out for the AMA Dance Force (ADF), Jazz, Tap and newly-added Ballet Company. The Ballet Company will perform a special Nutcracker segment in our Holiday show. The ADF is a special performance company where students who would like to perform more throughout the year can do so on a higher level! (Like videos? Here’s the ADF at West Fest!)
But wait, there’s MORE!
We appreciate each and every one of our students and their families that come through AMA’s doors each week. One of the biggest events of the year is always our Student Appreciation Day. We always plan something uniquely fun such as inviting Ronald McDonald to perform, or the Barefoot Hawaiians teaching us some Tahitian dancing (video and photos).
This year… wait for it… we are flying an amazing artist from the Dominican Republic, Señor Gonzolo! He will teach every student who attends this year’s Student Appreciation Day to paint an amazing colorful seascape complete with palm trees and an ocean view. You will not believe your eyes when your little Renoir paints this gorgeous masterpiece using only their finger in LESS THAN 15 MINUTES!!
Why would we do this for our students?
Because we love being able to bring unique, AMAzing experiences to our families. We can’t wait for this special day to come and we know you will love it.
June 2014
We already have our June recital theme chosen and it promises to be our strongest show yet! We can’t let the cat out of the bag yet, but if you have seen our shows, you already know how creative they are! HINT: The scenery will be live people!
These are only a few of the things we have in store for you this year. Classes begin on Monday, August 12, 2013. We have a lot to do… so much more than we listed… so please do not wait to register. The time is NOW!
